Jose Luis Rodriguez German was borned in Mexico City and graduated as an Engineer in Electronics and Communications at the Tecnologico de Monterrey.
Being a resident of the United States he has joined other alumni area residents to establish the Alumni Association as President of Ex-A-Tec California.
With over 20 years experience in the automotive electronics industry, he is currently Manager of the Electronics Department at Quantum Technologies , where for 12 years he led the development of electronic components and systems for OEMs (GM, etc), including the design of electronic modules and wiring used in both hybrid vehicles (PHEV, HEV) and in vehicles powered by alternative fuels (natural gas, hydrogen).
He is currently developing the electronic system associated with the power train of a hybrid sports car, Fisker Karma .
His experience includes the design and engineering from beginning to end of digital circuits and analog modules based on microcontrollers, as well as the manufacturing and quality control of such modules. Examples of these modules are: Engine Control Module, Injector Driver Module, both fully tested and qualified to be part of General Motors vehicles.
As chief engineer in Pollak (formerly General Instruments), he was in charge of software and hardware development for advanced instrumentation products for various automotive OEMs in North America.
He began his career as a designer engineer in Elpro SA, designing products for the Mexican division of Ford and General Motors.
